Heather serves as outside corporate counsel to small and medium private companies in the areas of general corporate matters, business transactions, software licensing, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate tax planning.
Heather received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law with a specialization in Corporate Law. While in law school, Heather was an active member of the Native American Law Students Association and was a UCLA Law Fellows Mentor. She received the Public Interest Service Award for her volunteer work with the El Centro Legal: HIV and AIDS Legal Services Alliance. Heather completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, San Diego, where she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Political Theory and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honor Society.
Heather received her LL.M in Taxation from the University of San Diego. A majority of Heather's tax studies at the University of San Diego were focused on corporate and business matters including corporate reorganizations, partnerships, and advanced business planning. At the University of San Diego's Legal Clinics, Heather assisted indigent clients in negotiating Federal tax matters with the Internal Revnue Service including offers in compromise and establishing payment plans.
Heather is a member of the State Bar of California and an active member of ZLAC Rowing Club's Crew XIV, America's oldest women's rowing club.
